HOW it STARTED

My name is Tawanda Perrin and i’m the CEO of SwaGG Empire LLC. I ‘ve been in the entertainment field for over 10 years. I started off in the entertainment industry managing local artists until I later migrated into the spotlight myself, showcasing my own talents as a musician. One day while recording my single “Im Doin Me,” my producer motivated me to try going after other dreams I had. This is where I would say my journey began!

I started off being on a local reality tv show called “Virginia For Loverz” where they would set us up on blind dates. The TV show was aired on VA’s local channel Mytvz then later moved to Sky4. From there I went on to create my first movie titled “I’m doin me” as well as my brand “SPLAT” (Some People Laugh At Talent) selling t-shirts all while releasing a song called “SPLAT” that was released on all major platforms. I then later turned this same business into a business that offers school supplies.

I always had  a passion for shoes so I created my own line called “SwaGG’s Way. Once I created these brands among others, I finally decided to create an outlet where my creativity and voice could be heard along with other like minded people. This is where “The Choppin Block” was birthed. A platform where everyone could be heard, advertised, seen and supported in their community and all over the globe.
